Today’s Golden Nugget: Test BYOBs
Running a single-product store with lots of variants? Stop making your customers add products one by one. It's killing your AOV and frustrating your best customers.
Here are a few examples of my favorite BYOBs you should test instead:
These pages work really well for post-purchase & winback flows, and retention-focused campaigns. Avoid using them for top of the funnel though, my experience has been poor with that so far.

Today’s Issue: Offer Testing with Email
95% of brands are running the same tired offers they've always used. No testing, no data, just vibes. Let me show you a better way.
Quick story: I had a client crush November 2024. We're talking 50% more revenue than last year, mostly in early November. They hit their holiday targets before BFCM even started.
The secret? We started testing their offers 2 months earlier on Labor Day.
Here's what we did:
Took the BFCM offer the client thought was the best
Created 4 challenger offers focused on profit
Used Labor Day as our testing ground
Plot twist: One of the challenger offers drove 30% less sale volume... but 50% more profit. It was a bundle offer that completely changed their economics. Higher AOV, better shipping costs, the works.
Why this mattered:
Allowed for more ad spend per customer
Better inventory position
Room to scale when competitors ran dry
Here's the thing - you can do this testing anytime. Mother's Day, Father's Day, Labor Day, whatever. Just avoid your peak season (you know when that is).
